What began as a simple idea in 2016 has grown into a movement. Mystical Roots Warrior started as conversations — countless phone calls between friends passionate about reggae, about truth, about building something real. That passion turned into purpose, and that purpose has become our foundation.
With over 35 years in reggae, we come from humble beginnings — making music in bedrooms and front rooms across South London. Founders Marky Roots and David Knotts quickly recognised the energy they were channeling. From there, it was only right to bring more artists into the fold.
Our strength is collaboration. Artists come with their own flavours, sit in the sessions, and mix tracks with us directly. We’ve always kept it real, kept it raw, and kept it about unity and message. We’ve worked with legends like Channel One Sound System, Barry Issacs, and Twinkle Brothers Distribution, laying down foundations rooted in respect and rhythm.
Mystical Roots Warrior is more than a name. It’s a platform — a mission — to help more artists follow their dream and build a future in music. We stand to amplify purpose through rhythm, create opportunity, and leave a legacy of sound that speaks for the people.

We started building our sound from scratch — writing, producing, and recording music in bedrooms and front rooms across South London. The collective began to take form as more artists joined the movement.
Our first public shows lit up the community. The message and the music resonated, and people began to take notice. This was our moment to stand up and be heard.
With international streaming and performances in Europe and the Caribbean, Mystical Roots Warrior emerged as a globally respected name in conscious reggae music.
